Hello there! Its really good to see you've stopped by. If you have come here first and have no idea what I am about to talk about click here to go back to the Scrapwhispers blog for full details.
Our blog hop this month is a little bit different. We wanted to go back to the beginning and the main aim of the main part of our challenge blog which is of course, the Scrap Whisper. Scrapwhispers is all about scraplifting but seeing how true the chain layouts stya to the original. It's a scrapbooking version of Chinese Whispers or Telephone.
Georgina has challenged us this month, to scrap lift one of her fab layouts.
I decided to use Georgina's layout as a sketch. But I rotated it as well, just by a quater turn so I could use portrait photos. I've obviously changed the colours used but the embellies are the same as in the sketch.
My layout is based on the Rebus Trail I went on in Edinburgh. I'm a little obsessed with Ian Rankin's fictional Character Inspector Rebus and all his stories, so of course I couldn't pass on the opportunity to see some of the places from the books. I used papers from Echo Park "Be mine" collection to show they don;t have to be for slushy, lovey dovey layouts.
I hope you can the similarity between the layouts and I really can't wait to see how you interpret Georginas.
Now comes the fun bit.. for you to continue hopping through our wonderful DT blogs and see what they've come up with.
I really hope you enjoy our hop. Don't forget that we are taking sign ups now for the next game of scrapwhispers. If you've never done it before take a look here on how it all works. I promise you it really is a whole heap of fun!!!!
Enjoy the easter weekend! :)
