popping by..
to say Hi and that there won't be any crafty goings on from me for a while because I'm on my holidays, staying with my parents and seeing my niece and nephews for the first time since they were born in December! We seem to be taking it in turns with a tummy bug too so I think we will be here for abit longer than we first thought!
I'll be back soon enoughand when I am I'll be able to share my great news! :)
Take care, see you soon x

L-O-V-E
Thats the song challenge at Scrap it with a song this week. A beautiful song from Nat King Cole. I chose to use the title as my title on this layout of my Mum and Dad holding DD when she was just a few weeks old. I love how my Dad is just beaming with pride and my Mum is fussing over her. I used Pink Paislee Queen Bee papers to fit the photo.. and yes, another rolled paper rose! I am sooo addicted to these. I also used this weeks sketch from Creative Scrappers.
I had some really great news today which I can't share just yet, but I'm stoked and can't wait to tell you!

Blog hop.
Sadly there is no blog hop today due to technological problems. The big reveal is still happening on the scrapwhispers website so why not check that out! We also signing up for the new round of whispers. If you haven't played before it is TONS of fun. The anticipation is almost too much when you see just how the layouts change over the course of the game. You only have to create one layout too, based on a scraplift. Not sure on how to play? Click here to find out all about it. :)
Dreams
Its the 15th and that means another challenge is up for you at Scrap that Poetry. Dreams is the title of the poem for your inspiration. Do you have a recurring dream? Dreams for your future or for your loved ones? Click here for the poem and I hope to see you join in. There is a great prize too!
For my layout I used the full poem as my jounrlaling. Its so lovely not to. Go and check out what the rest of the DT have created. I hope this will inspire you to join in!

Scrap it with a song
Scrap it with a song's song choice this week is "So happy together" by The Turtles. A lovely track which you might know from the movie Shrek ("I can't see me loving nobody but you for all my life...") Now I've got that fixed firmly in your heads ( :) ) this is the layout I created.
DD and the Boy on the beach digging in the sand. They were so happy just sitting and playing "TOGETHER".
Here is a close up of the title.
I did this by dry embossing onto vellum. I only scratched it roughly to give the impression of wave foam. As an added bonus the vellum turned out a bit bumpy so I'm pretty pleased with result seeing as it was done on a whim.
Thanks for stopping by.
Make sure you check back tomorrow for the Scrapwhispers Blog hop! Its a fun one!

Scrappy cat
I think my kitten, Pepé, likes scrapbooking! LOL
I was trying to work on a project the other day and he kept getting tangled up in my ribbons and then just sitting on the piece I was working on.
He is a real mummy's kitten, No matter what I do he is always there. He has curled up on my lap as I type this out :)
Enjoy the Sunshine!! I will be. Its the first day of sun all week! yay!

SJ July sketch challenge
A little while ago I was suprised by an online friend when she asked if I would join in the July sketch challenge on SJ. I was very flattered and of course I said "yes". Stacey had made the sketch and it was very versatile.
This is the layout I came up with.

Hello!!
I'm back from my hols! It was fabulous! the weather, the accommodation, the food, the people... now I'm pining to go back.
When I logged on here I realised the posts I'd prescheduled hadn't worked! I've no idea what I did wrong but something didn't work.
While I was away the July 1st challenge went up over at Scrap that poetry. The poem for this challenge is called first love and you can view it here.
For my layout I chose the line "I never saw so sweet a face" to go with this photo of my DD.
I'm still using up my scraps and these rolled roses are great for doing that. I'm addicted to making them! The flourishes are mine, from swirling a line of PVA glue and then adding some flat backed pearls.
So come on over and see what the other DT members created. Maybe even have a go at the poem yourself?!?!?!?! :)
