Another friday!! And this weeks Scrap whisper challenge is a sketch - designed by moi. I drew it in a simple design that leaves it open to interpretation.
My layout is about my Grandma, me and DD all sat knitting together. My Gran taught me when I was DD's age and she has also taught DD, which I am over the moon about.
I've used a mix of Studio calico papers, Echo park and stickers. So do like sketches? Maybe you could turn this into a card maybe?? Whatever you create link us up! Have a great weekend.

Scrapwhispers - Scraplift
Thank goodness it's friday! I've had such a busy week this week with lots of childrens activities. Still, it keeps me out of trouble. ha ha!
This weeks Scrap whispers challenge is one that is what Scrap whispers is all about. Scrap lifting!! And this week we are scraplifting the wonderfully talented Rosey.
This is my take on Rosey's layout. I did change up a few things but I kept to the original design more or less. And while we are talking about Rosey, her team won the last round of Scrapwhispers. So well done team Rosey!! We are taking names for the next round so if you like Scrapbooking, and you like getting inspiration from lifting someone elses work then this game could be for you. Just one layout in a round and then you get to see just how the layouts change in the course, just like Chinese Whispers. Let us know if you want to join in!
If you play along this week you will be in with a chance of winning a lovely paper pack from MME!
Good luck!

Scrapwhispers - Pink, blue and Turquoise
Happy new year to you all! To kick off the new year we have a colour challenge for you. It's pink, blue and Turquoise. Pretty combination of colours.
My layout was a quick one seeing as the days are all merged into one for me at the moment :) This was DD in nursery all dressed up for her nativity play and the teachers had kindly put the photo onto a calendar. It seems a shame bot to scrap it.
I've used a mix of echo park and Authentique papers and Thickers for my title.
I hope you can join in with us. And, as always, there is a fabulous prize this month up for grabs!

Allsorts - New beginnings
Seeing as I've been away a while, I thought I would treat myself and join in the challenge at Allsorts. Their challenge is new beginnings. This card is for my sister who is expecting a little boy any day now, so it really will be new beginnings for her and her family.
A very simple card, the image stamped onto Kraft card, then coloured using promarkers and a white gel pen. A couple of papermania buttons and a hand drawn border to finish it off.
I just want to say also that I wish you all the absolute best for the next year ahead. I know alot of people that 2011 was not kind to (including myself) but I hope I can leave all that behind and start afresh from tomorrow morning. There will be a huge new chapter in my life from the a quarter way into 2012, so I look forward to that (And no it's not a baby in the baby use of the word!). I just hope that the next year is kind to you and that you have an absolute ball!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! XXXX

A little purse
Right, I am scheduling this post, so if it works please feel free to leave a message to let me know it has worked... Thank you!
Just thought I would share a little purse I made for DD's friend. I found the template on Paper and string, and it is seriously so easy to do.
I had some felt left over, and a zip I forgot I had. Its a double layer purse, and I just love the way it looks like a pasty!! LOL!
It was very well recieved, especially with the money and a little necklace inside :0)

Scrapwhispers Blog hop!!!!
Ok, so if you didn't see my previous post, this is a day late because I have had hackers work their magic on my online accounts and even though I had scheduled this post, it didn't work. And i have already written this out 4 times so lets hope this works. I am so angry, I can't even begin to say how much!!
Our Blog hop tutorial for Scrapwhispers has been created by Rosey this month. Rosey has come up with a genius way of using up the alphas we all have difficulty in getting rid of. You know the ones, "Q,V,Z,X,J". And here is my layout using this technique.
You can see my frame a little bit more because I thought it just fitted with the pictures of my som doing his puzzles.
Head on back over to the Scrapwhispers site for the full instructions on how to achieve this look, and to see what the other DT girlies have come up with!

Scrap it with a song Blog hop!
For those you who were looking for my post for the Scrap it with a song blog hop, I am so sorry that you were not able to view it! I had the post all scheduled to go, but it didn't happen and I have been away since Thursday morning, and have only just seen that it didn't post! I am so angry, I can't tell you just how much! Hackers were at work on most of my online accounts. So, I am very, very sorry. But here is my layout.
I decided to go with an A-Z theme, trying to use up left over alphas, which I never tend to do. I am thankful for alot of things in life, and I have tried to highlight them with the alpha stickers.

I have a little paper prize on offer, so all you have to do is answer this question. "What is the one thing you are most Thankful for in your everyday?" Answer Saturday

Yay! Finally!
I am able to post on blogger!!!! I have been trying for a long time, but I've had some virus on my computer that wouldn't allow me to post, or view certaian sites. I've also had a hacker who has busied themselves with my ebay, hotmail and FB accounts. Grrrrrr.
Along with that I've not been too well, and so have been taking it easy for a while. I've had a day filled with DR appointments today, which wasn't too much fun. I just hope it's all over with soon. Anyways, to tell you that the Scrapwhispers main Scrap whisper game is well underway and so I will be able to post more about that soon. Also at the moment there is a sketch challenge over on the Scrapwhispers blog, designed by our very own Nilsa! It's a beauty so go and check that one out!! Also this coming friday we have our usual Scrap whisper blog hop, with a fun little project from the lovely Rosey. So make sure you check back for that one too.
Also, scrap it with a song are holding a thanksgiving blog hop too soon. All this means that I will be back with some projects to share with you. And I am hoping that my blogger account stays open for me to post!!! EEeeek!
I have to say though.... it's good to be back!
:)

Another cake
I've been baking again, this time for a friend of a friend who has had a little girl. It was hard to know what to do that was a bit original, as most baby cakes are baby booties or bottles. So I went with the patchwork bunny idea, it was originally only meant to have flowers on the top of the cake and bunting going around the sides, but I got carried away with the flowers and so put the bunting on the cake board instead, with some on th top with her name on.
My favourite thing of the whole of this cake is the bunnt's tail. I used a cocktail stick to flick at the fondant to create a fluffy look to it. I also used the cocktail stick to create the impression of it being stitched.
I was really pleased with the result of this and more importantly so were mum, dad and big brother!

Simon says - Nursery Rhymes/Fairytales
As if by magic. I'd created this card for a party my DD is off to this weekend, then when I read my blog list is was like it was meant to be. I'm entering this into the Simon Says challenge this week with the theme of Nursery Rhymes or Fairytales.
I've used a Tiddly Inks digital image and Basic Grey scraps from the Porcelain collection. The sentiment is one I've had for 4 years(!!) but found it again the other day so it had to be used! Quite a simple card but fit for a birthday princess :)
Thanks for looking x

Scrapwhispers - 102.. we need you!!!
Our challenge this week is a little late as all the DT have been a bit manic, but we have some news for you. The latest challenge will be posted later today so check back later for that. Its a scraplift this week and such a fun one... we are lifting our lovely, Rosey!
And talking of scraplifting... we need you!!! We need you to join our crew! Not in the navy kind of way, but in a scrap whispers kind of way. We are still looking for team members to play along. Think back to the school playground when you used to play chinese whispers or Telephone and now turn that into paper/digi scrapbooking form. All you would have to do is create a layout, scraplifting the team member before you, so that means just one layout per person for the game. Then at the end we show them all off at the Big Reveal!! Each team starts with exactly the same layout, so it's great fun to see just how much this changes as the game moves on! The winners are in for some awesome prizes!!! I've got some new followers (thankyou very much!! :) ) so maybe I can entice you try it out, just this once??? You have til monday to let us know if you want to play. I promise you won't regret it!!
One last thing.. Our lovely Helen, is stepping down from the DT for a while, due to work commitments sooooooo that means, we have an opening! Could it be for you??? This could be your chance to join a great team!! Let us know with a short paragraph about you and your scrapbooking adventures, with a couple of your layouts to showcase your style to gh26@sky.com
Good luck!!! :)

Scrapwhispers 101 - Colour challenge
Scrapwhispers challenge number 101 is a colour challenge. We challenge you to use the colours Orange, Brown and Grey on your layouts.
I kept the colours quite simple on my layout as I didn't want to swamp this photo of my son :) The rest of the DT have come up with amazing inspiration for you and there is also an inspirational photo for you to work with on the Scrapwhispers blog.

Scrap it with a song - Bryan Adams
This week we have a stonker of a song for you!! The oh so mighty "Everything I do (I do it for you). I absolutely love this song, still after all these years and even after it spent a record amount of time at the number one spot of the UK charts.
I saw Bryan Adams in concert in the winter of 2000 in Newcastle, we got front row standing even though we only got the tickets that morning and he was incredible to watch!! He's in Liverpool this November but I'm not sure I'll get to go. I've got all fingers and toes crossed though!! :)
For the challenge I created a simple but elegant card, using papers by Authentique 'blissful' and some pleated ribbon from Maya Arts.
The DT have created beautiful projects to give you more inspiration, so why not see what they are offering and see how you will be inspired :)

Scrapwhispers - Whisper game
You'll already know that the challenges for Scrap whispers are back and well under way. And we have another blog hope for you, with my tutorial on using stamps on your layouts.
Well, the main Scrap whisper game is back too and is starting on the 10th day of this month!! And we still have spaces left for anyone who wants to play along. If you haven't played before, it's very simple. You'll be a member of a team, where a layout gets passed along the line of players, and each person scraplifts the layout they are given! So you are only committed to scraplift one layout for the whole game. But at the end of the game you get to see just how the layouts have changed during the course of the game. Just like the game Chinese whispers or telephone, but with paper.. It really is so much fun. Sign up by sending an email to GH26@SKY.COM
